Was wanting a easy chewable ice. This maker did the trick. Was easy to set up, made ice quickly (Was producing ice within 5 min.) and fills bin in a timely manner. Water bin is easy to drain and clean. Came with an ice scoop, was plastic but works.

I've been wanting an ice maker for a while because with a family of 8 we go through a lot of ice! I got this ice maker because I hoped for something with a small footprint but a big output. We have been impressed with this ice maker and use it daily. The output is great - it makes tiny pebbles very quickly and the ice lasts a surprisingly long time in the basket. We clean it out with lemon juice in water every 1-2 weeks and the ice stays fresh and clean. My kids love the ice maker so much, they named it Pebbly.Two things would make this instrument better. First, it would be amazing to have a direct hookup to a water source so we don't have to pour water in manually. Second, it would be great to have a way for the ice to be stirred - it blocks the outlet after a while and must be manually scooped away from the spout to make room for more.Still, these two things are small concessions for a great machine at a very good price. It is a workhorse. We've been using it for several months and really enjoy it!
